What is your general view of these people? What is your general opinion of people who get cosmetic surgery?
Zach L, Last summer my mother got cosmetic surgery and she's really happy with the results. In my state a there are certain plastic surgeons that are better than others. I'd consult cosmetic surgeons in your area and see what sort of success they have had with past clients. http://www.plasticcosmeticsurgerycenter.… A local cosmetic surgeon should be able to answer your questions. What is your general opinion of people who get cosmetic surgery?
It is no secret that cosmetic surgery is expensive. The larger the area you need repaired, the more costly your surgery is likely to be. With that in mind, if cosmetic surgery is needed for medical purposes, like to repair skin damage, your health insurance may cover all or a portion of the costs. If you will be responsible for the costs of cosmetic surgery, all on your own, it is important to make sure that you can afford to do so, without putting yourself in debt.
I try not to make broad generalizations about any group of people. There's nothing inherently wrong with plastic surgery. Yes some are insecure about heir appearance, but for many after they get their surgery all their insecurities are gone and they live happy vibrant fulfilling lives that they might not have lived without the surgery. No one should have to live with insecurities about something that can be easily fixed. The phrase ';these people'; shows an incredible amount of intolerance and lot of de-humanizing. I have little tolerance for intolerance of any type. We shouldn't be so hard and cruel that we pass judgement on people whose lives and motives we don't understand. We should be tolerant and understanding of everyone.
Well, i think cosmetic surgery CAN help sometimes. if you are a completely flat cheasted i cant blame them for getting small implants. if they have DDD cups and get it reduced to a D becuase it hurts their back (it happens) i don't blame them. If their nose isnt allowing them to breathe correctly, i don't blame them for getting a different nose.
but other than those exceptions (which are common)
yeah their stupid ppl
Well, it depends on the reasoning. People who get plastic surgery to better their images are well, 'plastic'. Fake. But there are people who actually need cosmetic surgery, for health related problems. Those people I don't view as fake.
Answer mine?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
the first thing that pops into my mind is their insecurity. but then once i myself did consider getting my breasts done. thank god my fiance stopped me.
however, there are cases when its neccesery, like after severe accidents that harmed the appearance.
but overall those people seem ungrateful to me.
instead of feeding the homeless they kill their nose..
its just pathetic.
More power to them, basically. I've had several procedures done myself over the years. I DO believe some people can get too carried away with it, like when their faces don't even move anymore.
That they are rich and insecure about their appearance? But i cant blame them, if i was heaps rich i would want plastic surgery too.
i think its stupid
just because they cant stay natural
im giving out my opinion and its a waste of money
if people want to look better
theres many other ways than surgerie :]
implants are kind of pathetic, lypo's a little more understandable.
Overall I would never get it
If that's what they want and if they can afford it then more power to them. I don't see anything wrong with it.
That they are affluent.

How much do cosmetic vampire fangs cost?
I'm looking for the cost of fang implants. In the procedure, the dentist pierces metal rods above the root of the canine and the fangs hook over the teeth. How much do cosmetic vampire fangs cost?
I agree with Bunny D. I suggest that you buy them at http://www.vampfangs.com/ or another store. They cost a lot less than any type of surgery or procedure, they're not permanent, and they look very real. That way, if you dislike them, you can simply remove them %26amp; you won't regret having the surgery done. Also, nothing can go wrong with putting prosthetic fangs, unlike having an actual surgical procedure done... think of the risks.
Sorry I could not answer your question very well, but I
hope I've helped. %26amp; Good luck!

Local dentists do not do that type of procedure. Normally that type of item is temporary and you can purchase it off the internet. Having permanent fangs isn't something you want to have the rest of your life, believe me, job interviews would be extremely awkward.

Can i use cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup to cover my birthmark?
I've read people's statements that the only thing that can be done with cosmetic tattooing is covering light and white areas of skin to make them closer to the normal skin tone. It never works out to cover pigment darker than your skin's. I'm black and my birthmark is lighter than my skin tone. Would it be possible for me to get it colored darker to perfectly match my skin color? Can i use cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup to cover my birthmark?
Are you saying that you want an artist to tattoo over your birthmark to make it your same skin tone so it looks like you don't have a birthmark? Yes, that is very possible. Take a look at these spider veins and how well they were covered up:

****NOTE*****
It's a huge myth that tattoos unless from 30yrs ago will interfear with MRIs CT Scans etc.Can i use cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup to cover my birthmark?
Wow, hard one. Generally, I'd say try the makeup designed to cover scars, Dermablend. Their website is www.dermablend.com
Tattoo dyes sometimes contain elements that make it difficult for you to have certain medical tests later in life like MRI's and CT scans.
If the Dermablend doesn't work, you need to consult a dermatologist who specializes in black skin problems. Good luck.
Why would you want to? Unless it REALLY looks like you have a pigment disorder, I woulden't worry about it. I'm paleeeee, and I have a few very large dark brown birthmarks, and they are unique to me :)
Be proud!
Years of experience has proven to cosmetic tattoo artists that this simply does not work. You cannot cancel out dark coloration in the skin with tattooing - especially white or skin tone colors that always look pasty and obvious over a dark pigmentation in the skin - a body art design is the best choice with multiple colors to distract.
If on the face, I can only recommend a very qualified laser doctor..
It depends on the birthmark. If it is a raised birthmark (closer the the mole family) then absolutley not. If it is a flat red or brown birthmark, you can, but the final decision lays with your tattoo artist. I he/she feels that his/her artistry cannot cover it up they will be up front about it if they are reputable. Try incorporating it into the piece instead of covering it up. Good luck!

How much do cosmetic dental procedures cost?
I don't really like my smile. my teeth are in line, but there is a small to medium sized gap in between my teeth, and my left front tooth is minorly chipped. Just to fix those two things, how much would it cost and what would I have to get done? How much do cosmetic dental procedures cost?
The price will vary depending on your dentist and if they can get insurance to help cover it or not. If you just need those 2 things done, they can probably just place tooth colored fillings in the space and it should be virtually unnoticible. They can probably fix the chip that way as well, which would probably be a couple hundred dollars each (retail), but if they get insurance to help cover it, they should be under $100 each. Sometimes insurance doesn't cover ';cosmetic'; work, but if they are doing it to ';repair'; the chip, it should be covered (we normally try and get insurance to help our patients whenever possible).
The other option would be to have veneers or crowns done. These retail in the $1000 range, so you can do the math on 2 of those.
It does depend a little on who you see however. Some dentists may recommend veneers/crowns, some may be willing to just do the fillings.
Both should work fine and can be made to look as good as you want/expect.How much do cosmetic dental procedures cost?
Well if you are looking for coverage for comestic dental procedures, then you do have options. Insurance companies don't cover it at all, but there is a plan that you can get and this dental plan will help you out with a 25%-40% discount with is awesome on cosmetic procedure.
Go to your dentist and ask. There is no set price. I am doing whitening and it is $400. Insurance doesn't pay.

Is there a cosmetic surgery available for stretch marks?
I would just like to know if there is a cosmetic surgery for stretch marks. I have really bad ones on my hips and it does bother me. Its just a question and I would prefere if people did not pass judgment or offer moral guidance on the issue of plastic surgery. I am well aware of the arguments and it's not like I'm getting a whole body work up. Its just a question. Thanks! Is there a cosmetic surgery available for stretch marks?
you should research laser. similar to laser hair remover, scars or tattoos. make sure the doctor you see is experience and ask for referals. good luck.Is there a cosmetic surgery available for stretch marks?

Is cosmetic dentistry perceived in the same way as cosmetic surgery?
What i mean is, they're both for enhancing ones appearance, but the latter can be more extreme. Getting dental work done is for general oral hygiene and improving ones smile. So for example, would a major makeover of the mouth by getting veneers fitted to fill in gaps and straightening teeth etc be seen as unnatural as having breast implants? How do people see this?Is cosmetic dentistry perceived in the same way as cosmetic surgery?
Yes the same as they both enhance appearance, no not really unatural, there is also a hygiene aspect and dental health aspect to it, for eg getting braces to straighten teeth helps with hygiene

How does a cosmetic surgeon remove a third nipple?
what's the actual procedure? what would i need to bring into the clinic? how long is the recovery time and will there be pain afterward? How does a cosmetic surgeon remove a third nipple?
Ask your doctor !How does a cosmetic surgeon remove a third nipple?
i would think the dr. could do it in office, rather than hospital visit (which also costs more). all he would have to do is numb the area and remove the nipple with a small amount of skin around it. then stitch you up...i have had moles removed this way..the numbing stuff stings, but then you don't feel anything until it wears off a few hrs later. i didn't really have any pain, except itching from healing and annoyance of the stitches.

Christians, is it okay to eat halal food and use halal cosmetics?
just because they are healthier and in good quality?Christians, is it okay to eat halal food and use halal cosmetics?
Perfectly alright.
Everything on the face of the earth has been conquered by God and is meant for the gratification of the responsible human being, who is expected to take care of it all and live a life of fulfillment.Christians, is it okay to eat halal food and use halal cosmetics?
Why would you ask the opposite faith? Of course they would probably tell you no.
Their is absolutely no problem in eating halal food and using halal cosmetics.
They are halal because they don't have any pork products and the meat is slaughtered in a way were all of the blood is drained from the animal completely, preventing the growth of bacteria. Which is something that used to be done by the Christians and Jews long before mass production which now uses (guns, electric shocks, sledge hammers and drowning as a means of slaughter) these are all ways that causes great pain and stress on the animal plus the animal may still be alive during the skinning process. Also, this causes their blood to clot within the animal which encourages bacteria to grow in the blood left inside.
The main reason of halal is cleanlyness and health. That's it.
Um, you realize christians don't use the term ';halal'; or ';haram';. Pork is permitted in christianity... although you would consider it haram.
Christians can eat both Haram and Halal

How well does cosmetic tattooing cover scars?
How well will cosmetic tattooing or other tattoo work cover scars? Will it be able to match neighboring skin? Will the ink even take? How well does cosmetic tattooing cover scars?
A site about this kind of thing, made by a tattoo artist says that it's harder to do, would hurt more than getting a tattoo over a non scarred area, and they could only use black ink. Color would run and fade, and so would details because a scar is a buildup of tissue, and different from actual skin. The scar should also be at least one year old before you try to get it done.
and here's another thread about in in Y answers that has been resolved already: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>How well does cosmetic tattooing cover scars?
tattoo ink looks the same over scars as it does regular skin. as long as the scars are pretty much even with the skin (not raised or deep) there shouldn't be a problem with the ink taking. i have 2 large tattoos covering over stretch marks (which are pretty much scars) and they came out good. just like any other tattoo. there were a few very small places where the ink did bleed outside the line a bit but its very hard to tell.
can get scar tattooed over, but the ink may not take, or the artist might have to go over it more than once. it depends on how bad the scar is and how big it is. i would go to your local tattoo palor and and show them the scar and show them what you would like to get tattooes and they should be able to tell you if it is doable or not

What cosmetic and personal care brands test on animals and which ones doesn't?
I'm trying to go green on hair, makeup, and personal care products not just because of attempting to avoid too many artificial/synthetic ingredients, but also avoid ones that test on animals. Is there a website(s) that has a list of brands that are natural/organic and DOESN'T test on animals? What cosmetic and personal care brands test on animals and which ones doesn't?
Yes!!!

Yay! I'm so glad to hear that you're concerned. So many people don't care, I can't believe it. There are good companies that don't test on animals, there's no reason to buy from the others. Put them out of business! :D

How do I go about starting my own cosmetic line?
I would like to sell it out of stores, and har salons etc ectc. and eventually go into fashion and building a brand. How do I go about starting my own cosmetic line?
If you're looking for a quick route, you can check out Your Name Cosmetics. People (companies, individuals) buy their products %26amp; put their own name on it. You can use their packaging or buy the makeup %26amp; put it in your own packaging. A lot of big cosmetic companies use or have used Your Name products in their line. It's really a decent brand.
If you want to develop your own line you need to find a chemist who specializes in cosmetics. It's a lot of trial %26amp; error til you get the formula %26amp; colors you're looking for.
Good luck. How do I go about starting my own cosmetic line?
Unfortunately, I have no idea about getting a business license. I would imagine you need to talk with your city about that. I just know about starting a line because I'm a makeup artist %26amp; have worked for a small line for a couple of years. Good luck Report Abuse
If you're serious about this and it is your passion, then you need to go to college and study to become a cosmetologist..then you can share your ideas with people you can work with to design new cosmetics!!
If you're serious...
Go to college or go back to college, take as many chemistry/bio/science classes as possible along with small business/accounting/marketing classes/internet start up %26amp; html website and communications/pr classes.
Work at a counter or cosmetic store... get to know the other brands and also learn the business first hand. (This is very important)
Then take an internship in NY or other distribution hubs for major cosmetic companies, particularly L'Oreal (the largest one).
When you're bored, log on to any major cosmetic company's website and check out their annual reports and who they own (for example Louis Vuitton Hennesey Moet own Benefit cosmetics, MAC and the Body Shop). See how they do business. Research their Board and Executive Board.
Work your way up from counter to production side and get to know the right people. Branch out and viola!
Bear in mind... seriously it's a journey that will take you at the very least 15 years. But it's a worthy and admirable aim! Good luck!

Has anyone used Artistry cosmetics?
if so did you like them? i just bought a kit it seems to be ok so far. Has anyone used Artistry cosmetics?
I think Artistry is good, although the old line was a bit better. Some products are great. From Artistry I really like Skin refinishing lotion, their skin care is exactly what I like, I can recommend products for oily skin. I used also their eye shadows, but I think there are many much better eye shadows than theirs. But they're not bad. What I didn't find very useful was Blemish control. Yes, I like Artistry.Has anyone used Artistry cosmetics?
its terrific the kit is worth the money I got it as a valentines day gift and i liked it its all natural

How long after you have a baby do you need to wait to have cosmetic surgery?
I am planning on getting a beast augmentation sometime in the near future. i do not breast feed due to all the meds i take for seizures. so would i need to wait until my milk dries up to get this done? how long does it take for all the beast milk to usually dry up? thanks. How long after you have a baby do you need to wait to have cosmetic surgery?
It varies from woman to woman but I would wait @ least a year before you have any surgery done...
FYI: taking care of a baby will take a lot of energy %26amp; you won't have a regular sleep %26amp; you need rest to re-cooperate from major surgery. How long after you have a baby do you need to wait to have cosmetic surgery?
It may take awhile. Just don't squeeze them, and keep ice on them. I hope it is to reduce them, not enlarge them. That will cause your back to ache and eventully hunch over from the weight of the breast. Good luck.
I asked the same thing, and the cosmetic surgeon said I would have to wait 6 months after a baby (or longer if there was still milk).
Wait a year until your body is back to normal and then decide. It takes a couple months for the milk to dry up for some people.

When did cosmetic animal testing start?
I am doing a paper about cosmetic animal testing and I need to talk about the history of it. For example, when did it start and who started it?
Ive been looking all over google and cant find anything.
Please help? When did cosmetic animal testing start?
When the government finally took responsibility and required manufacturers to test for possible hazards rather than selling untested goods with unknown side effects to human consumers.

Does the Trish McEvoy cosmetics company test on animals?
i strongly disagree with cosmetics companies that test on animals, and i am considering buying Trish McEvoy providing they dont test on any helpless animals. any fellow animal lovers know?Does the Trish McEvoy cosmetics company test on animals?
im sure they are a company that does not test on animals. http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-revi鈥?/a>
and for future reference as well: http://www.caringconsumer.com/pdfs/compa鈥?/a>
that is a list, i think made by PETA, of companies that do not test on animals.Does the Trish McEvoy cosmetics company test on animals?
Well, im not positive, but my guess is that they DO test on animals. Mybrand n reasoning is that trish Mcevoy makeup is a major ame in the cosmetic world. you know that all the companies like lancme and mac obviously test on animals. i think that trish is no different. though it is excellent makeup, let's make a stand for those who can't! Stand up for your pets! DO NOT BUY TRISH MCEVOY

Do most cosmetic surgeons have pay plans for procedures?
I want to get a rhinoplasty, but am in college and don't know if I will be able to come up with the money all at once, do most cosmetic surgeons have pay plans or do you have to have the money upfront?Do most cosmetic surgeons have pay plans for procedures?
Even the most expensive Beverly Hills Surgeon will try to make some accommodation for those who have a problem paying.
But unless you have a serious breathing problem, I recommend against Rhinoplasty. There is evidence to show that people with imperfect noses are more likely to succeed in both economics and show biz than those with more appealing appendices.
As you know, I'm a great fan of Michael, but, and don't get me wrong, I still think Michael is an outstanding talent, Michael's nose was fine when he was young and he became extremely successful. I don't know how many surgeries Michael has had
but the more he had, the more problems and fewer record sales he seemed to have.
I thought about having my nose done when I was younger.
I'm so glad I did not.

Most of them will go through your insurance company first and by the date of the procedure you have to pay the remaining balance.blond hair

How many women would be interested in this cosmetic surgery?
Hi, I am trying very hard to come up with an invention that will make me lots of money. My new idea is plastic surgery that can give you vagina-balls. Basically the lips of the vagina are made to be like a scrotum at the bottom and silicon balls are put in.
Does this sound good? How many women would be interested in this cosmetic surgery?
Hahaha no thanks I'm okay.
Question though, does anyone consider braces, acne treatment or laser eye correction cosmetic surgery? Hmm...How many women would be interested in this cosmetic surgery?
Um....why would we want that?
Don't get me wrong...I luv me some balls...but I really do prefer them to be on the body of a man.
Try coming up with a concept that women really need or would like.
This is like t!ts on a canary.
The only people who are interested in prosthetic testicles are those males who have had to have theirs surgically removed as a result of illness, disease or physical trauma (such as a blow to the inguinal region).
Maybe you should experiment by cutting into your scrotum, adding a silicon ball, sewing it up and seeing how that feels.
Not interested, sorry.
Oh god! That's all we need: One more thing for women to feel vulnerable about.
Oh god, oh god!
THE VISUAL!!! AHHH!
Sounds gross.
Feminists want a penis, I've never heard of testicle envy ?
Why?

Very secure. People wait weks and sometime months to get an appointment with a good plastic surgeon. Go for it.
There is job security but it all depends on your skill as a surgeon.

A beginner in mac cosmetics? What to get?
I have pale, fair, dry, acne skin.
Bright blue eyes.
Light blonde hair.
Round face shape.
I decided to get Fix +
I heard lip glass was good, but I hate the glossy look. What is a good product from mac cosmetics? Colors for me?A beginner in mac cosmetics? What to get?
MAC does not have the best foundations, especially not if you have acne-prone skin. It will cover it up, but it may make it worse.
Try these shadows:
Shroom (highlight)
Copperplate (grey)
Charcoal Brown (brown)
Idol Eyes (sparkly lavender)
Gleam (sparkly peach)
And these lip colors (both available in stick or gloss):
Viva Glam V (5)
Viva Glam VI (6)
And these blushes:
Blushbaby
CubicA beginner in mac cosmetics? What to get?
*BLM* has already answered but I'll still provide some suggestions regarding eyeshadows:
- Shroom (definitely get it, you won't regret it!)
- Woodwinked
- either Amber Lights/Goldmine/Juiced/Orange (because you have blue eyes, any colour with an orange tint will bring the blue out)
- either Pink Venus/Sweet Lust/Swish (a light pink will also work for blue eyes)
For crease colours, usually a natural brown (how natural a beige/brown looks depends on your skin tone) that is slightly darker than your skin tone + the eye shadow you're using will work.
If there are specific colours you're not sure whether they'll work for you or not, go on: http://www.makeupalley.com and search for product reviews.
Regarding other products, it's best to go to the store and ask an MA for help as they will be able to see the specific conditions of your skin. Also, don't forget to test out the colours before you actually by them. They tend to look different in the pan and on your skin.
Hope this helps :)
Foundation is good if you're into it. If not be sure to get a bronzer esp for the summer time. A neutral lip liner that can go with anything like cork, hover or chestnut. A neutral lip color like Viva Glam IV-that comes in a lip stick or lip gloss. Mascara is always good for anyone and also an eyeliner. Mac's cream eyeliner is good for beginners is what I've been told. Fix plus is great for setting makeup and refreshing your skin. I love it!
My top 5 favorite things from MAC is :
#1 - MAC 187 BRUSH
It works really good! You need to give it a try.
#2 - M路A路C Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation (Loose)
This mineral foundation is the best foundation ever!
#3 - FIX +
Just give a few squirts all over your face and it sets your makeup!
#4 - MAC Eyeshadow
Their Eyeshadow's are amazing!
#5 - MAC Beauty Powder Blush
This blush is like really sexy!
Good Luck! =)
None of it. MAC is bad for your skin its very heavy and clogs pores. If you have acne prone skin it will make it worse and if you do not have acne it WILL GIVE YOU ACNE.
try black brown mascara.
lip glass? get a nude color, then blot to get rid of the ';glossy'; look.
or, try a lip pencil.

What cosmetic procedures unclog and refine pores?
I have medium size pores that get clogged and become blackheads that I can't get out because they're so deep in my skin... any advice on procedures that can clear them up?What cosmetic procedures unclog and refine pores?
steam. you can get this done when you get a facial or do it yourself: boil some water on the stove in a big, wide pot. You want to get the steam on your face--you can move the pot to the sink and put your face over it with a towel on your head, hanging down on the sides to trap the steam in, or turn the flame off and do that over the stove. You can also sit in your bathroom with the shower running as hot as it goes and all the doors and windows closed. Steam and heat will open up your pores so that you can clean them out. do it for as long as you can (up to 20 minutes) then wash your face or gently squeeze the blackheads (not the pimples, just blackheads) with clean fingers. What cosmetic procedures unclog and refine pores?
you can always try microdermabrasion its very good i've tried it, but kinda expensive.

Does cosmetic surgical dimples appear on the face even without smiling?
I am thinking of getting cosmetic surgery to create dimples in my cheeks. However, some people say that ';artificial'; dimples permanently appear on the face. In other words, they look fake because they appear regardless of whether a person smiles or not. On the other hand, others say that they will appear only while the suture is not yet absorbed by the mouth. Im confused.... Which is which? Thanks!Does cosmetic surgical dimples appear on the face even without smiling?

Clinique or Benefit cosmetics?
And why do you like them?Clinique or Benefit cosmetics?
I'd have to say i like both equally but for different reasons and products.
Clinique~ i love clinique face products! they have really good coverage and don't make me break out at all! I also love the clinique 3 step skin care line. I have been using it since i was 12 and it works so great! Eyeshadows from clinique are horrible, little pigmentation, and in my opinion poor quality and hard to blend. Price wise its ok, i always buy my clinique when there are free gifts involved. Its always fun to get free goodies!!
Benefit~ Another favorite! I have no complaints about any of the products (love them all) but i really dislike the prices. I beliieve they are overpriced. The quality is great but the price really makes me not purchase there products as much. One thing i do love about them is that all of there stuff is very original! many of there cosmetic items cannot be found anywhere else with anyother brand. A few of my favorite things are- boiing, high beam, and posie tint!
Hope this helps!!Clinique or Benefit cosmetics?
I don't like clinique never really been a fan none of there makeup has ever really worked out for me and it's too much money for being like a drugstore level. I would def go with benefit!! I have never been dissappointed with any of their products and plus they come in really cute packaging and desgined adorable!! ;)
BENEFIT WITHOUT A DOUBT ;D
the quality of benefit is so much better and they're products are more nifty and useful wow lol I can't belive I just said nifty that's how much I like benefit haha :) my opinion hope this helps!
BENEFIT DEFINATELY!
..well i was never a big fan of clinique cosmetics, because i think the quality isnt the greatest and its just a rip-off.
-Benefit has alot more different kinds of cosmetics and i just like the colors and quality of it better!
I never tried Benefit, but I definitely agree that Clinique is a rip off...Not worth for what it costs

What are the harmful effects of various cosmetic brands on human body?
Actually i want the details about various cosmetic brands - toxic and harmful ingredients present in them, effect on human body and other related details.
What are the harmful effects of various cosmetic brands on human body?
COSMETICS and THEIR EFFECTSION THE SKIN
A thorough skin care program usually means using three products: a cleanser, a moisturizer and a mask. An expanded program will include an exfliant, eye cream or oil, a mask and sometimes special deeper treatments.
The quality of a skin care program will highly depend on the quality of the products that are used in the program. If you use poor quality cosmetics you can actually harm the skin rather than repair it. Poor quality cosmetics can irritate, dry the skin out, or block the pores. Therefore it is critical to check the ingredients of a cosmetic and also the quality of the ingredients. The closer to nature the ingredients of a cosmetic are and whether it is organic can highly judge the quality and potency of the product
It is best to avoid products that contain mineral oil, artificial colors and artificial fragrances. You should take into consideration that often any ingredient that you would not put into your body is also an ingredient that you should not put onto your body. Many cosmetics contain preservatives and artificial colors that can be very bad for your skin. An advantage of preservatives it that it can stop the product from getting contaminated, but in many circumstances they can hard the skin.
It is also a good idea to check out the value and integrity of a company producing the cosmetics that you use. It is important to check if they stand behind their product, where they get their ingredients and how the product is manufactured. It is very important to know the quality of the ingredients and raw products, and how much personal care is put on the product. It is very important for me when choosing a product is who owns the company and what are their moral standards. What are the harmful effects of various cosmetic brands on human body?
anti ageing creams dehydrate your skin, so you use moisturers as '; Garnier '; to retain water content.
this only tallys the ageing cream.
your anti dandruff shampoo causes damage to your scalp,
if you use any toilet soaps 4 ur face, then ur skin may come as flakes after a period of 2-3 months.
1,4-dioxane - A carcinogenic contaminant of cosmetic products. Almost 50% of cosmetics containing ethoxylated surfactants were found to contain dioxane.
1,4-DIOXANE MAY EXERT ITS EFFECTS THROUGH INHALATION, SKIN ABSORPTION, AND INGESTION.
1,4-DIOXANE IS LISTED AS A CARCINOGEN.
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: 1,4-DIOXANE IS AN EYE AND MUCOUS MEMBRANE IRRITANT, PRIMARY SKIN IRRITANT, CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DEPRESSANT, NEPHROTOXIN, AND HEPATOTOXIN.
ACUTE EXPOSURE CAUSES IRRITATION, HEADACHE, DIZZINESS, AND NARCOSIS. CHRONIC INHALATION EXPOSURE CAN PRODUCE DAMAGE TO THE LIVER AND KIDNEYS, AND BLOOD DISORDERS.
2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol (Bronopol) - Toxic, causes allergic contact dermatitis.
Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40) - A very drying and irritating solvent and dehydrator that strips your skin's natural acid mantle, making us more vulnerable to bacteria, moulds and viruses. It is made from propylene, a petroleum derivative. It may promote brown spots and premature aging of skin.
Anionic Surfactants - Anionic refers to the negative charge these surfactants have. They may be contaminated with nitrosamines, which are carcinogenic. Surfactants can pose serious health threats. They are used in car washes, as garage floor cleaners and engine degreasers - and in 90% of personal-care products that foam.
Benzalkonium Chloride - Highly toxic, primary skin irritant.
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: MISTS CAN CAUSE IRRITATION TO THE SKIN, EYES, NOSE, THROAT AND MUCOUS MEMBRANES. AVOID DIRECT CONTACT. SYMPTOMS: MUSCULAR PARALYSIS, LOW BLOOD PRESSURE, CNS DEPRESSION AND WEAKNESS.
Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA) - Dr Epstein reports in his book Unreasonable Risk this chemical is carcinogenic! Also known to cause allergic contact dermatitis.
Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) - Causes allergic contact dermatitis. Contains toluene.
Cationic surfactants - These chemicals have a positive electrical charge. They contain a quaternary ammonium group and are often called ';quats';. These are used in hair conditioners, but originated from the paper and fabric industries as softeners and anti-static agents. In the long run they cause the hair to become dry and brittle. They are synthetic, irritating, allergenic and toxic, and oral intake of them can be lethal.
Chloromethylisothiazolinone and Isothiazolinone - Causes contact dermatitis
Cocoamidopropyl Betaine - CAN CAUSE EYE AND SKIN IRRITATION.
DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), %26amp; TEA (triethanolamine) - Often used in cosmetics to adjust the pH, and used with many fatty acids to convert acid to salt (stearate), which then becomes the base for a cleanser. TEA causes allergic reactions including eye problems, dryness of hair and skin, and could be toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time.
These chemicals are already restricted in Europe due to known carcinogenic effects. Dr. Samuel Epstein (Professor of Environmental Health at the University of Illinois) says that repeated skin applications . . . of DEA-based detergents resulted in a major increase in the incidence of liver and kidney cancer.
Diazolidinyl urea - Established as a primary cause of contact dermatitis (American Academy of Dermatology). Contains formaldehyde, a carcinogenic chemical, is toxic by inhalation, a strong irritant, and causes contact dermatitis. CAUSES SEVERE EYE IRRITATION. MAY CAUSE SKIN IRRITATION.
DMDM Hydantoin - Contains formaldehyde.
Ethoxylated surfactants - Ethoxylated surfactants are widely used in cosmetics as foaming agents, emulsifiers and humectants. As part of the manufacturing process the toxic chemical 1,4-dioxane, a potent carcinogen, is generated.
On the label, they are identified by the prefix ';PEG';, ';polyethylene';, ';polyethylene glycol';, ';polyoxyethylene';, ';-eth-';, or ';-oxynol-';.
FD%26amp;C Colour Pigments - Synthetic colours made from coal tar. Contain heavy metal salts that deposit toxins onto the skin, causing skin sensitivity and irritation. Animal studies have shown almost all of them to be carcinogenic.
Formaldehyde - Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen (causes cancer). Causes allergic, irritant and contact dermatitis, headaches and chronic fatigue. The vapour is extremely irritating to the eyes, nose and throat (mucous membranes).
Fragrance - Fragrance on a label can indicate the presence of up to four thousand separate ingredients, many toxic or carcinogenic. Symptoms reported to the USA FDA include headaches, dizziness, allergic rashes, skin discoloration, violent coughing and vomiting, and skin irritation. Clinical observation proves fragrances can affect the central nervous system, causing depression, hyperactivity, and irritability.
Imidazolidinyl urea - The trade name for this chemical is Germall 115. Releases formaldehyde, a carcinogenic chemical, into cosmetics at over 10掳C. Toxic. See Formaldehyde

Is it ok in Islam to receive cosmetic surgery such as a breast reduction or breast lift?
Well, my muslim friend asked me this and she has large droopy breast that she would like to get done. She wants to know if it is ok to get the surgery if it really bothers her.Is it ok in Islam to receive cosmetic surgery such as a breast reduction or breast lift?
Sure! She should get it if its causing her any pain, its well worth it.Is it ok in Islam to receive cosmetic surgery such as a breast reduction or breast lift?
Most Muslims consider it to be forbidden to get cosmetic surgery just to make yourself prettier. However, most also believe that it is allowed in certain cases, such as to correct a physical defect. If her breasts are so large that they are causing her problems, I would probably consider them to be a physical defect that it would be ok to use cosmetic surgery to fix. But of course different Muslims have different opinions on this, so you should encourage her to do more research before coming to any decision.
yes, as long as her face is covered during the operation and the doctor must be female. also she must have noble and higher purpose to desecrate her body because if not, she must be stoned to death. and if so, the doctor must also be stoned to death for performing the operation and also you for helping your friend commit a terrible sin

Would you toss cosmetics and skincare products after...?
the expiration date or if it has been opened for a while even though it smells and looks fine? It is hard to throw away makeup and other products that have been barely used. I read about the duration you should keep stuff, but is that really what you do? Also for perfumes, I have too many I must admit, and I had some for about 11 years. They smell the same and look the same. I did throw away a bag full of ';old'; makeup and I still feel sad about it. Ideas please...Would you toss cosmetics and skincare products after...?
Yeah, there is a certain point that you definitely need to throw away makeup, even if it looks okay, especially eye makeup, becaue it can get you sick after around three or four months. Even if you haven't let anyone else use it, you can still get tons on germs that have been growing in there. Yuck.Would you toss cosmetics and skincare products after...?
Your skin can break out.
I hate tossing out makeup but it has to be done. Bacteria have build up on the makeup and skincare that can cause problems. I would rather throw away the cosmetics and skincare rather than risk an infection that will cost more to treat.blond hair

the most important thing to look for is the PH of the product it needs to be 5.5 or nearest no higher then 5.7 and no lower than 5.2
good luck hope i helped What are the harmful effects of various cosmetic brands on human body?
some of the cosmetic products contains harmful chemicals that are not suitable for our skin..search for it in the web..that's why 'organic products' are more advisable to use because its healthy and safe..
our skin don't just absorb what we put on it..it also goes through the liver that's why some doctors tell their patients to stop using lotion due to their illness..
Young Blood Mineral cosmetics?
Has anyone tried this mineral makeup line? What do you think about it?Young Blood Mineral cosmetics?
yes! it is excellent, it doesnt clog my pores or cause acne or anything, and although it's really expensive its good quality as well.Young Blood Mineral cosmetics?
Youngblood Mineral Makeup was developed by Pauline Youngblood, a paramedical aesthetician for 8 years, servicing prominent dermatologists and plastic surgeons in areas of skin care, with particular interest in care for problematic skin.
While professionally consulting with many of these physicians to establish and maintain the skin care operations of their practices, it became evident to her that the patients had cosmetic needs that were not being met.
She began working with chemists, putting together a superior formulation of micronized minerals and pigments to create her own concealing powder for use on patients with special cosmetic needs.
The result was a silky, lightweight foundation powder so versatile and effective that any women looking for a premium, healthy, long-lasting makeup could use it.

Demand pattern of cosmetics before liberalisation and after liberalisation?
Because people were more liberal after liberalization, the society allowed more things to happen, like more extreme things than before. Thus, many more groups of people could buy cosmetics without being ostracized. Therefore, after liberalization, the demand pattern of cosmetics significantly increased due to the lessening of conservative thought.

Can anyone tell me what's up with the cosmetics from E.L.F.?
I recently was told that the cosmetics company Eyes Lips Face was having a major sale on all of their products because Nordstrom was buying them and they needed to get rid of their merchandise. So like any other would do I rushed to their website and ordered. However, I hadn't done my research and I now worried that this is all just a scam, so can anyone tell me what the deal is. I've already done a lot of research. Should I cancel my order? Who should I trust? Can anyone tell me what's up with the cosmetics from E.L.F.?
The Nordstrom part was a scam- they have'nt been bought out. All their products are always that cheap. They have some good quality items but most are really cheap quality. Cancel your order if you feel it's not worth the money. Can anyone tell me what's up with the cosmetics from E.L.F.?
wow my cousin just ordered a few weeks ago and they will tell you it will be there and it will take forever and items will be missing too, she got her stuff eventually but not all of it and they said they would credit her money back to her account and never did and she's only a teen making minimum wage so thus she spent too much and overdrew her account cause they never put it back, not a total scam but i've seen there items at big lots
Because Nordstrom is an upscale store, I doubt that they would buy ELF. I tried to contact them, but you can never get an answer. Also, I saw their products at Burlington Coat Factory, and Big Lots. I wouldn't be bothered with them.

What is the best way to clean makeup brushes without cleaner from a cosmetic store?
I just got this really awesome set of brushes, but I do not live in a city where I can get a really good quality brush cleaner. What could I use until I make it to the city? What is the best way to clean makeup brushes without cleaner from a cosmetic store?
I actually just tried this yesterday it worked really well on my Bare Escentuals brushes! I use Johnson and Johnson Purpose face wash (really light and good for sensitive skin).... I figured since the brushes are going back on my face I should wash them with something I know will not irritate my face.... So I washed all my brushes with a dab of my face wash and some warm water. I let them dry overnight and they were perfect in the morning. They actually feel even softer than before! What is the best way to clean makeup brushes without cleaner from a cosmetic store?
Ive always used just plain soap and water, just make sure you rinse them well and let them dry all the way before using them
I use Shampoo.Gently message it through the brush and lather then rinse and repeat. When done, use your blow dryer to dry it.Works great.
Just put a bit of shampoo into the palm of your hand. Wet your brush and swirl it around in the palm. Then rinse it thoroughly, reshape it and then dry it
A little bit of shampoo and water should help.
just use shampoo and water...it works for me everytime
it sounds stupid but u should brush them on a dryer sheet. it catches all the powder for some weird reason.

What is the cost per tooth for cosmetic dentistry? And did you get a loan to have your teeth done?
I read up about the procedure for cosmetic dentistry, and I want to know what it cost you to have cosmetic dentistry done on your teeth, what insurance company covered you, and if you took out a loan to get that done which loan company did you use? What is the cost per tooth for cosmetic dentistry? And did you get a loan to have your teeth done?
I've had 11 crowns for restorative purposes but the cosmetic effect is the same as having them done for THAT purpose, and it was about one thousand per crown. A friend is having veneers and crowns specifically for cosmetic purposes only, and he also told me one thousand each. That's a pretty good average for cosmetic work per tooth.
Occasionally at times I had dental insurance they'd cover up to a certain amount per year (most plans cap it at one thousand, others two.) Of course, that includes all the other dental work included over the course of a year, not just crowns. Without insurance I just paid privately. But I must warn you, if you are having it done specifically for cosmetic purposes, they will NOT cover the procedures at all. Mine had to have series of x-rays, photos and dentist's reports for the teeth in question just to prove that my work was necessary, not cosmetic. In fact I had coverage for one tooth declined for that very reason. As for a loan, ask the dentist office. I'm sure they have financing steps they will help you through. What is the cost per tooth for cosmetic dentistry? And did you get a loan to have your teeth done?
what kind of cosmatic dentistry are you talking about? Most cosmatic dentistry could be expensive. you are looking at anywhere from $500 to $2000 a tooth. That also depends on where you live and the dentist himself they all have different fees. Insurance does not cover anything cosmatic. Most dentist have care crdit which is kind of like a payment plan. I know because we have it at my husbands clinick
Depends on the kind of cosmetic dentistry, it could be anywhere
between $100- $1,000 per tooth or more. In addition to eHealthPlus
discount I was also offered the zero interest loan for 12 months
with the loan company dentist worked with.
most dental work these days have a pretty hefty price tag......fortunately, there are now discount benefits available where you can save from 25% to 80%--it's like having a grocery store discount card and they also come with additional discounts on vision, chiropractic and prescription at no additional charge.

What are the ups and downs of cosmetic surgery?
I'm in a debate, and I don't know if I'm negative OR positive.
I just want to know (since I cant find any info on the net)
what are the ups and downs of cosmetic surgery?
I do know that teenagers get influenced by celebrities to get them, etc.
And I know that people can have a ';boost'; in their confidence
if they get surgery.
Any more ideas? :) thanks. What are the ups and downs of cosmetic surgery?
well for one, the down is that you could die or worst deformed! You could get an infection and end up worse than when you started. People can get hooked on plastic surgery, meaning the have more and more, which can be bad that they end up looking silly. Another down is that you may hate the result..people can get depressed if the out come is not what they wanted..
An up is that it can make you look and feel better..if someone is deformed in some way surgery can improve someones look and self esteem. Make people who feel ugly feel beautiful.
I think that surgery is right, because why not change something about you that you hate, but i think you have to level up the risks with the results.
Some people may be reject by there family if they have surgery, due to the families religion or general beliefes is another down..
hope this helps abit:D
Good luck with your debate!
Ps nip/tuck is a good think to watch about Plastic surgery because alot of the senarioes, may be exagerated but do have a bit of truth behind them!
Bye!What are the ups and downs of cosmetic surgery?
You do not give your age but.......
not info on the net???? How hard have you looked?
To me the downs far outweigh the ups.
Downs can be severe infection, disfiguration or death .If you want a better nose, less wrinkles or bigger boobs and not concerned with THAT kind of risk -- Knock yourself out !
I would FAR more appreciate to spend time with a Plain Jane who is smart and can carry on an intelligent conversation than with a Barbie girl who is dumber than a bag of hammers -- looks fade over the years -- stupid lasts a lifetime.
to me, getting cosmet. surgury is like saying i'm not good enough and even though sometimes i have to eat a box of chocolate to feel better i still think i couldn't live knowing my boobs aren't real - it would be like admitting my in adiquencies everyday in the mirror
but thats just my take
good luck ;)
Cosmetic surgery is seldom worth the expense or pain.
You have a numbness and tightness that never goes away.
You feel stupid after doing it, as you know you are plastic and phony.
You may piss off God, coz He made you the way He did, for a reason.
Worst of all...if you are ';pleased'; with the work...you'll get addicted, just as a gambler does, if he wins a huge jackpot.
.
NATURAL is always preferable to synthetic. EXAMPLE...I saw a girl whose hair was in the sunset the other day...It was absolutely precious. Why? Because it was indescribably REAL. No coloring could come close to simple nature.
.
I'm planning on getting surgery done for myself in the future when I have the money and time. It's very risky because when I go in there I'll basically be harming my body to-- hopefully-- come out with a better look. A lot of times these surgeries go wrong during or after and the results are less than ideal.
Sometimes death occurs due to infection, allergy, excess loss of blood, etc. A patient under the knife going into shock isn't uncommon.
But, if all goes well, then I'll probably come out with a better looking me and my self esteem will be boosted tenfold. I may need to go back for future surgeries to keep my look going, but I'll have the body and look that I want.
It's expensive, but not as expensive as some would guess. Depending on the procedure, the costs can range from hundreds of dollars to tens of thousands of dollars.
It depends what kind of cosmetic surgery. I got my nose fixed and the good thing is that it looks a lot better then beofre but at the same time my breathing totally changed to worse. And I know couple of people who did the same thing and have the same problem.
+] - feeling confident %26amp; upbeat
-[ - looking silly and fake, having a face that doesn't move
The pros of cosmetic surgery would be that you can improve little things about yourself that hold back your confidence, and it's easy to make small improvements that make a huge difference. Rhinoplasty is popular for people with deviated septums, because not only does it improve the appearance of the nose, but oftentimes they can breathe much better. A breast lift doesn't make the breasts larger, but rather makes them perkier, which gives a woman a healthier figure. Breast reduction is good for women with large breasts who are suffering from back pain. It's easy to say that cosmetic surgery is fake and plastic, but in many cases, it is actually quite useful.
Cons: It is EXPENSIVE, and it's easy to go overboard. Things like botox and collagen can make a face look absolutely ridiculous, and if you don't do enough research, a plastic surgeon can actually ruin your face and/or body. Michael Jackson is a very good example of this, and so is New York's infamous Cat Lady. Plastic Surgery can be addictive, and it will not make you love yourself more if you are insecure or depressed.
I personally don't plan on having plastic surgery for any of my facial features, but due to my large chest, I will probably have a breast lift and reduction when I'm in my 30's or 40's.
the ups would be that cosmetic surgery would look good for a short period of time.
the downs would be
it is VERY costly
there are alot of risks involved
it could cause permanent scarring

I personally don't plan on having plastic surgery for any of my facial features, but due to my large chest, I will probably have a breast lift and reduction when I'm in my 30's or 40's.
the ups would be that cosmetic surgery would look good for a short period of time.
the downs would be
it is VERY costly
there are alot of risks involved
it could cause permanent scarring
it doesn't last long and doesn't stop aging process from occuring.

Having cosmetic surgery soon, what do I say to my boss for time off work?
Im having plastic surgery done but dont want anybody in work knowing about it. I need up to 2weeks off work, what do I say to my boss, I wanted to just call in sick, maybe say that i have to get something done in hospital.. All I know is she wont give me time off if I ask her.. What should I do? What could I say?Having cosmetic surgery soon, what do I say to my boss for time off work?
Nothing you can say. If you want the surgery, and plastic surgery is not an excused absence, you'll lose your job. Maybe you could reschedule it to have it done while you are on vacation.Having cosmetic surgery soon, what do I say to my boss for time off work?
well i think if you really need it and stuff you should throw a sickie
and say you have food potion or some thing so no one knows but it isnt a big deal if you have them done coz some one if gonna find out at some point and a lot of peaple have it done
Say you are having your appendix out maybe. Or maybe say your in hospital with dizziness and having to be kept in for observation. Good luck with everything.

What cosmetic products are animal testing free?
I don't support that. That's why I don't wan't to wear makeup that has been tested on animals.
Also, what ingredients can I look out for, that uses animals?
ex. gelatin, in altoids, has hoofs in it. so it there any ingredients in commonly used products that is harmful to animals? What cosmetic products are animal testing free?

there aren't as much comanies that test on animals anymore from what i can tell
Bonne Bell and Smackers don't test their beauty products on animals.
Animal testing and the use of animal ingredients are two completely different issues. Some companies that claim to be ';cruelty-free'; use glycerin, lanolin, honey which are animal based ingredients.
When you review a list of ';cruelty-free'; companies at websites like PETA, Caring consumer and All for animals, look out for brands that have been marked very specifically as VEGAN. These are brands/products that are against animal testing and
do not contain animal based ingredients.
On their website Urban Decay (http://www.urbandecay.com) has specified which products are suitable for vegans. Lush and Kiss My Face do the same.
Off the top of my head, I know Wet n Wild and Got 2 B don't. And wet n wild is cheap, too. But check out Peta's website, they have a complete list including a pocket sized book you can print out.
Mary Kay doesn't test on animals.
So you want to wear makeup that has been tested on people? It has to be tested on something/ someone. I believe in animal rights, but human rights are more important. The poor would be enticed by the financial incentives offered by human testing. Do you really want to take advantage of the impoverished?

Well, I don't totally understand the question, but suffice it to say that once SPF was introduced in many popular brands of cosmetics, e.g. Chanel, it was controlled by FDA just as other drugs are.

What is the correct name for this cosmetic surgery procedure?
Hello everyone!
I have made a (rather badly drawn) diagram of the before and after of the procedure (for a male face);
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/7803/ma鈥?/a>
The procedure usually takes around 3 hours to complete, 3 years of dental work is usually required beforehand.
In 'my words', it's makes the bit between the bottom of your nose and the top of your chin come forward, this creates a more masculine looking effect.
I have completely forgotten what the doctor called it and was wondering if anyone knew.
Many thanks for your help! What is the correct name for this cosmetic surgery procedure?

Any doctors, cosmetics surgeons can explain how B. Spears went from?
I don't like her but she has made an amazing transformation. Had to have had some work done. But it seems imposible. In a matter months she went from crazy and fat to healthy looking. I don't understand what surgery or diet could have made such a drastic change.Any doctors, cosmetics surgeons can explain how B. Spears went from?
A combination of things can be the reason for Britney's ';sudden'; transformation.
She's not overly tall, so 10-15 lbs can be 1-2 dress sizes on a woman 5'4';.
She seems to have been working out, and probably eating healthier so a weight loss of 1-2 lbs a week would be somewhere between 16-32 lbs over the last 16 weeks.
Proper undergarments and clothes can appear to shed 10 lbs, just like the wrong ones can appear to add 10 lbs.
The media's agenda dictates what photographs you see. Crisis Britney's story required unflattering photos, bad angles, lighting, ill fitting clothes etc. New improved Britney gets the best photos, dressed up for shopping, dance studio workout clothes. Editors may have hundreds of shots to choose from in one paparazzi encounter to find the ';right'; one to compliment the story whether that is the one that she appears to be the fattest, or the thinnest.
So..a combination of ordinary things appears to be ';drastic';.

What is the medical reason not cosmetic reason for correcting an overbite with braces.?
I need medical reasons why a child should have braces placed on teeth to correct a severe overbite. I don't need cosmetic reasons. What is the medical reason not cosmetic reason for correcting an overbite with braces.?
THERE IS A CONDITION CALLED MICROGNATHIA WHERE THE LOWER JAW IS SEVERLY SHORTENED. THIS CAN CAUSE A MULTITUDE OF SELF ESTEEM PROBLEMS AS THE CHILD GROWNS.
SEE THE LINKS BELOW.What is the medical reason not cosmetic reason for correcting an overbite with braces.?
When I see this type of deformity, it is a tell tale that the Jaw joint may be displaced. 150 or so years ago, a pediatrician in Paris published his views along these lines. You might want to research this for yourself.
(malocclusion) Speech deformalities, crowding of teeth, thats about it.
It's been medically proven that children who's teeth have severe malformations such as overbites suffer later in life. They may have weight problems that comes from not being able to chew as properly or appropriately due to the placement of their teeth. Somehow it also connects to possible heart problems later in your child's life. And trust me, it's so much easier to just pay for your child's braces now while their young than see them in ten years wishing you'd done it.

Recovery time from surgery is normally one to two weeks, depending on the extent of the surgery performed. I want to go to Seoul for cosmetic surgery, but I don't know how to go there. Is there any travel agent who can be tour guide to Korea? How can I find the best cosmetic surgeon in Seoul?
I'm pretty sure you can find a tour guide to and at korea.
But if you need a guide at korea too, like to take you to the hospital and for translating reasons the cost would probably be expensive because it would be one on one not a group thing.
But just going to Korea through a travel agent will be easier and relatively cheaper.
If you live in California, email me or so, and I will try to help you more!

All of those are safe. Just be careful of ingrediants in face wash and getting your hair died before 13 weeks. If you have any questions you may want to call your Dr.
Most cosmetics and waxing are okay for you and baby.
Congratulations !! I m 10 week pregnant can i use Cosmetics?
I think you are ok to use make up, but I would consult with your dr. first before getting a facial or waxing.
All of that is perfectly safe. Congrats on your little one on the way!

Mary Kay cosmetics....What are your thoughts of selling or recruiting door to door?
I'm a consultant and I talk to people everywhere I go. Be careful advertising on Ebay and other places if you do not have the company approved advertisement that is located on your personal website. The company does not allow advertising that hasn't been preapproved and you could lose your MK business if you violate their terms.
You can go door to door but you really don't build a good relationship with the customer. To me that's trying to make a one-time sale. I recommend not leaving books with customers for long periods of time because they'll never order or if they do it'll be small stuff. Leave a book and give a deadline that you'll pick the book up on a certain date and their orders.
Don't waste your time leaving your card on peoples door or in person without getting their info. When people say they would rather you leave a book, card, or just a voice mail, they don't want to hurt your feelings by telling you they really aren't interested. Those who don't want face-to-face interaction really aren't interested in the first place and definitely would not make a great customer.
Try a ';Fish Bowl'; in the style of a ballot box. Find a store you would like to put it in and talk to the manager. Make a little hand made insert for the ballot box with some info cards for people to fill out. Make it a gift certificate drawing or something of the sort to help you get contacts. Check on it weekly and be sure to tape your business card on the bottom of the ballot box. Be sure to advise the manager that only the persons name on that card is allowed to retrieve the information from the box. You'd be surprised the dishonesty in people who'll take those names!
Also, I don't recommend deceiving potential customers that you are a makeup artist without telling them you are a Mary Kay consultant. If you cannot tell a potential customer you are a Mary Kay consultant, is that setting a good first and last impression on you and your business? If someone came at me like that, I'd steer clear of her.Mary Kay cosmetics....What are your thoughts of selling or recruiting door to door?
I would have to say that Mary Kay is hard. There are so many consultants out there that the market is saturated with them. I looked at selling different things and decided to go with Purse Party. I love it! Find what you like and sell it is my advice!Mary Kay cosmetics....What are your thoughts of selling or recruiting door to door?

Mary Kay is hard, you have to invest and always have the product on hand and their products are good and last a while so once you sell a skin care set you won't see the customer again for a few months, I tried selling this but just didn't like it.
Too much work door to door there are people around you everywhere on a daily bases. I talk to people everywhere I go. Now with the men's line we even have the male market. if I am food shopping, at the park with my kids, whatever I am doing I just fit it in my day.
I don't find it hard at all it is the easier thing I ever did and I am not the sales type the only thing I ever sold ws girl scout cookies and I'm sure my Mom did most of those sales:)
Well, I don't think you will make a lot of money on it, since my mom tried the same thing!
But if you want to resell cosmetics, You should rent a lounge or parlor or empty room for one day and adertise it by putting your party in a newspaper, tape it up EVERYWHERE, get women to know about it, then have apetizers and champaigne and people can go aorund testing products, chatting, giving each other facials and massages, you will have some times to explain what your products do, and women will buy stuff!
You can also go to Fair's and places like that and sell your products.
Just make sure to advertise well, and smile smile smile!
LOL.
Also, dont push people to buy if they dont want to. They hate that, lol.
Well, Good Luck!
I don't think anyone does Mary Kay door-to-door anymore. You really need a website or e-bay or to find a mom and pop type of retail store that will let you have a little display in their shop.
I think the consultants are annoying. I find myself buying more of it when they leave their catalog with their information in places like nail salons or any other common place. Most people want a few key items, not to be plastered with a makeover with pressure to buy the whole catalog. Try mailing them in your neighborhood. I know when I get bored I tend to buy little things that are useful.
I know a few people who have done it. It wasn't a substantial form of income but it was just something they did for fun and because they liked the products. I suppose if you dedicate a lot of time to it you could make a lot of money.
I like some of their body products %26amp; colognes. Other than that I stick with a certain line for face %26amp; makeup. I personally would prefer someone leave their card at my door or leave a message on our vms--rather than a person to person visit.

Bobbie Brown Cosmetics....Is her stuff really that good?
I really want to know if anyone uses Bobbie Browns cosmetics i.e; foundation and mascara because I heard its really good and is even better at covering up acne and is not oil based so does don't over compensate oil glands (i have naturally oily skin) I really want to start uses foundation and stuff but is afraid it will make me skin problem even worse??? Please help, any advice would be gratefully!!Bobbie Brown Cosmetics....Is her stuff really that good?
i'm told ,its GREATBobbie Brown Cosmetics....Is her stuff really that good?
Bobbi Brown cosmetics are really good (I use MAC %26amp; BB) And FYI, you can get smaller sizes in BB cosmetics - kind of try before you buy...although I think they're mainly for quick touch ups etc...but good if you don't want to lay out loads of money before hand! Go to a BB make-up counter for advice, or go on-line.
Yes that is a great brand but unless you have yellow undertones thier foundations aren't right for you. As they all are yellow based and can make someone of olive or pinkish tones look sick. Buty for their mascaras try them you won't be disappointed. Also try their shimmer bricks they ca be used for shadow, highlighting and blush.
I have very oily skin as well and decided to try out one of the foundation, big mistake. I wasted 拢25 on it, as it smelt horrible, didn't give good coverage and just really melted off my face. And even though I have yellow undertones this was much too yellowy.
It is a very good brand esp. for foundation. I think they're very good quality. It's one of my favourtie brands for foundation.
If you go to buy it, however, ask them to match you for the right foundation (or to give you the options for which one you like see link for a list) %26amp; test to match ur skin colour, then they'll give you a sample satchet sample to try at home to see if it suits you. Then you won't have to spend loads of money if it it is not what u r looking for.http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/templates/pr鈥?/a>
Bobbie Brown is the most repected cosmetic supplier/manufacturer.
My Fiance swears buy it, It is a little more on the expensive side however you get what you pay for.

How do you darken a permanent cosmetic lip colour if its too dark?
If an implanted lip colour is too dark, which colour will help lighten it during the retouch appointment? How do you darken a permanent cosmetic lip colour if its too dark?
Ask them to show you a pamphlet of the colours. If it's not that much darker than what you want, just get a colour or two lighter, but if it's way to dark, than pick the exact lip colour you want and go a few colours higher than it.How do you darken a permanent cosmetic lip colour if its too dark?
Well don't know about the color, maybe something lighter(duh),but I think the appropriate question is, ';How do you lighten a permanent cosmetic lip color if its too dark?'; You said ';Darken'; but yeah.

What do all the symbols on cosmetic bottles etc mean?
How can I tell if they have been tested on animals? What do all the symbols on cosmetic bottles etc mean?
It has been illegal to test cosmetics on animals in this country since 1985 and to use ingredients tested on animals since the 1990s. Any reputable company would not touch ingredients tested on animals - most ingredients can now be made synthetically in a lab.
Why are people so bothered about testing products on animal and don't seem to care about animal welfare in other areas of consumption?
I am sick of people who moan about animal testing without knowing the facts, but will quite happily eat KFC and use prescription medication!!
Save your sympathies for the people of the world who suffer in the making cosmetics and fashion instead - there are no warning labels for them.
Right on!

XWhat do all the symbols on cosmetic bottles etc mean?
if the product is animal tested they tend not to say to be certain products which have not been tested will always state so
they are right about that question but i know a brand that doesn't test on animals
it is urban decay
If it is a ';good'; make they put on the bottle about not being tested on animals, but what other symbols are you referring to?
search for the companys name on google along with the words animal testing
there won't be a symbol for it, but it will say perhaps under ingredients or something, whether it is dermalogically tested [tested on animals]. Or you could check out the product you're looking at on their website if they have one.
Hope you find out!

watch out for the picture of the ickle bunny-wunny wiv his tiny wittle pawsies over his tiny wittle eyes.....they're normally a high animal factor....
Animals don't wear make-up; so why test it on them....drag some tottering chimps off the High Street - test it on them.blond hair

How can someone get pro-bono cosmetic plastic surgery procedures done?
Does anyone know of a way a person could be considered as a medical students practice subject, and maybe could act as their practice subject throughout their cosmetic plastic surgery training, in order to receive cosmetic plastic surgical procedures free of charge?
Or is there a way to be considered for pro-bono cosmetic plastic surgery? How can someone get pro-bono cosmetic plastic surgery procedures done?
NO
No surgical procedures are permitted on patients by medical students anywhere. However a doctor taking an internship (which means that they are no longer a student, and are a licensed physician) would be allowed to practice their skill under the watchful eye of a specialist physician or hospital team, and then be able to perform medical procedures. Since a qualified surgeon is always present and either watches or assists, in most cases this procedure would still be a fee procedure. In essence since the specialist is there you would be paying for their expertise as usual.
Pro-bono plastic surgery has been performed by various doctors for reconstructive surgery, when the patient is in need and cannot afford the procedure, and of course for promotion of their skill, as is seen in Doctor 90210 where the video taping is aired for commercial purposes, so the company in this case (FOX) is actually paying for the procedure so that they can tape it and broadcast it.....and the patient gets the procedure free. Then of course there are other shows, such as Extreme Makeover where the same applies and the patient gets the procedure free.
Insurance regulations are rather strict on Doctors, and giving away services for free can result in many negative consequences ...if something was to go wrong, the patient can claim free might have resulted in substandard care....etc etc...so Doctors as a rule do not do this unless there are extenuating circumstances.
That being said, I do know that there is a website where ladies may get breast augmentation ... free...by joining the site and posting pictures etc...so that viewers can contribute if they like them, and the money contributed once it reaches the necessary amount to get the surgery is then sent to a qualified plastic surgeon to perform the augmentation, after which the patient posts 'after pictures' etc....but in essence the procedure is 'free' ... http://myfreeimplants.com/ as was featured on the Today Show.....How can someone get pro-bono cosmetic plastic surgery procedures done?
Most likely this would only be done for ';reconstructive surgery'; which is where plastic surgery originated. It's not the type of surgery that ';enhances breasts'; or ';is a face lift';. It's the kind of surgery that fixes someones face when they were in an accident or rebuilds areas that needed to be removed due to burns/amputations/birth deformities.
If your just out to get free 'make-over' surgery you should probably get counseling first. If it's reconstruction you need, ask your primary care physician for help.
do you really want to be a students guinea pig? you must really hate yourself to be desperate enough for that even to cross your mind. get a sugar daddy, thats the only way someones going to pay for your insecurities. but id suggest putting the money into some therapy sessions.
I bet you probably could. If cancer patients can recieve free experimental chemo, I bet you can get free experimental silicone.
