i would think the dr. could do it in office, rather than hospital visit (which also costs more). all he would have to do is numb the area and remove the nipple with a small amount of skin around it. then stitch you up...i have had moles removed this way..the numbing stuff stings, but then you don't feel anything until it wears off a few hrs later. i didn't really have any pain, except itching from healing and annoyance of the stitches.
