Does united health care insurance pays for cosmetics surgery?

I don't know for sure what you mean by United Health Care - it's through your job? school?

But anyway - the only way anything cosmetic is covered is when it's medically necessary.

My son got bit by a dog on his face - actually his eye, the upper area around his eyebrow. Because the emergency room Dr was concerned about how it would heal and the appearance of his face - he called in a Plastic Surgeon to do all the stitches and handle the situation. Because it was a puncture wound and so close to his brain - when it showed slight signs of infection only hours after leaving the hospital, the Plastic Surgeon admitted him into the hospital and he stayed there 6 days on an IV and with constant attention to his wound.

This guy was GREAT! He called and got things approved through my insurance company and took excellent care of my son, he said he was hoping that if they were really careful with how it healed there would be no need for corrective surgery later. He was right, now a few yrs later you can't see the scar.

He advised us that if Plastic Surgery were deemed MEDICALLY nec it would be covered, but if it was JUST 100% for appearance we'd likely pay it ourselves.

My cousin had a breast reduction surgery that was covered by her insurance because they believed the size and weight of her breasts was causing her back problems and headaches.

If when you say United Health - medical through the government - if you are a govmnt employee and have coverage - then they'll cover medically nec procedures. If you mean like public assistance type Medicaid - no they will not cover much in the way of those types of things - it's harder, but again if it's needed to stay alive - then yes.

I worked in insurance for yrs - so have a little knowledge of the typical policies.Does united health care insurance pays for cosmetics surgery?
No - it barely pays for required surgery.Does united health care insurance pays for cosmetics surgery?
I dont know if United Health Care Insurance pays for cosmetic surgery, most insurance plans dont cover cosmetic procedures. Go to this website, they do cover cosmetic surgery and braces unlike insurance plans. www.AffordableDental4all.com
I have yet to see any insurance pay for anything cosmetic except breast reduction if deemed medically necessary. No insurance will pay for any cosmetic dental work.
i don't think any ins. pays for cosmetic procedures.
