I don't really like my smile. my teeth are in line, but there is a small to medium sized gap in between my teeth, and my left front tooth is minorly chipped. Just to fix those two things, how much would it cost and what would I have to get done? How much do cosmetic dental procedures cost?
The price will vary depending on your dentist and if they can get insurance to help cover it or not. If you just need those 2 things done, they can probably just place tooth colored fillings in the space and it should be virtually unnoticible. They can probably fix the chip that way as well, which would probably be a couple hundred dollars each (retail), but if they get insurance to help cover it, they should be under $100 each. Sometimes insurance doesn't cover ';cosmetic'; work, but if they are doing it to ';repair'; the chip, it should be covered (we normally try and get insurance to help our patients whenever possible).
The other option would be to have veneers or crowns done. These retail in the $1000 range, so you can do the math on 2 of those.
It does depend a little on who you see however. Some dentists may recommend veneers/crowns, some may be willing to just do the fillings.
Both should work fine and can be made to look as good as you want/expect.How much do cosmetic dental procedures cost?
Well if you are looking for coverage for comestic dental procedures, then you do have options. Insurance companies don't cover it at all, but there is a plan that you can get and this dental plan will help you out with a 25%-40% discount with is awesome on cosmetic procedure.
Go to your dentist and ask. There is no set price. I am doing whitening and it is $400. Insurance doesn't pay.
